Margit Enggaard Poulsen
The front look of the gallery is rather new. It was a local architect Søren Wium who in February 2007 suggested that Margit should change the gable and make the gallery room bigger. He brought a sketch showing his ideas and Margit said yes almost immediately.
In April the craftsmen started and on July 25 the new gallery was opened to the public by former Minister for Education Ulla Tørnæs who gave the opening speech. Later that year it was awarded by Fanoe Kommune for good and dignifying conservation.
The gallery provides space for multiple arrangements such as art exhibitions, small concerts, writers' evenings with both poetry and prose. But primarily it functions as Margit's own gallery. Her studio is also in this building which she owns since 2005 and where she lives. |
